last night i added a disc brake to my polo bike, nothing special just my old deore one with a bent disc. modulation feels instantly better i love the feel of it already.
however braking is different to using a v brake. this could only be for all you front brake only-ers! whist going straight and only feathering the brake it will not instantly bring you to a halt (which is what i was used to and liked with v brakes) but instead you will smoothly and gradually get to a stop. this could be due to my crappy components but whatever disc brakes still rule!*
*not sure i will be saying this when my disc is completely bent. will be looking into protection soon.
